The Final Report
Finally at the end of any project, but also in a project, a report has to be generated.
For a scientific project the report is the publication, presenting the work in a condensed form to the outside, hopefully in a peer-reviewed high ranked journal. A publication must give the information to scientists in the field and equipped labs to repeat the work and to verify the results.
For a business the report is not for the public, but for the owners of the company to make decisions on it.
Nevertheless, in both cases the report has to be prepared carefully and for the readers understandable. Sometimes it is of high importance to translate science into a commonly understandable language.
