Research Assistant position at SLING/NUS

SLING, the Singapore Lipidomics Incubator, is a major global magnet for collaborating parties in lipidomics—from academia and industry—delivering new technologies and intellectual capital. Our center offers cutting edge facilities and a diverse base of investigators and students, anchored at the National University of Singapore, a leading global University centered in Asia. We are currently looking for a full-time Bio-Statistician Research Assistant to join our dynamic team.

 

You will be responsible for the analysis of biological data generated in our group. This includes mass spectrometry data consolidation, statistical analysis and development of novel solutions for data interpretation.

 

The successful candidate should possess the following qualities:

 

University degree in (bio) statistics, bioinformatics or equivalent

Preferably experienced in analysis of biological data and metabolic pathways
Proficient in the use of statistical software such as R, SPSS, data mining software and scripting
Excellent communication skills: fluent in spoken and written English
Meticulous and reliable work attitude, with a knack for developing innovative solutions and keeping up to date with relevant literature and new developments in the field
Capable of working in a fast-paced, multinational environment

 

The position is available with immediate effect.
